Local author JG Benedict will be visiting the Richmond Memorial Library on Saturday, May 17, at 11 a.m. for a special author event. Benedict, a Batavia native, will present his latest work, The Nightroad (Anthology One), a paranormal fiction novel published in November 2024 by Media Hatchery.
During the event, Benedict will discuss the themes and inspirations behind The Nightroad, which takes readers on an eerie journey through the supernatural. Following his presentation, the author will hold a book signing, giving attendees the opportunity to meet him and purchase copies of the book. Both paperback ($20) and hardcover ($30) editions will be available for purchase. Payments will be accepted in cash or via Venmo. For those interested, copies of The Nightroad are also available to borrow from the library.
Benedict, who is known for his work in paranormal fiction and as a general essayist, has deep roots in Batavia. He graduated from Batavia High School before pursuing higher education at St. Bonaventure University and SUNY Potsdam. Over the past four decades, he has lived and traveled extensively across the United States, accumulating a wide range of experiences that reflect his diverse skill set and interests.
