Las Vegas-based author JC has released her debut romance novel, Brighter Side, through Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.
The 132-page book follows protagonist Sam, who experiences a chance encounter with a man she dubs “Blue Eyes” after accidentally spilling coffee on him outside a local café. Initially mortified, Sam avoids him, despite encouragement from friends and family to reach out. As their paths continue to cross, she learns he has been hoping to connect with her too.
Still recovering from a heartbreak the year before and focused on an upcoming art exhibition, Sam is reluctant to dive into a new relationship. But as their connection deepens, she begins to wonder whether she might be ready to embrace love again.
JC, a lifelong fan of romance fiction, credits her love of the genre as the inspiration behind writing Brighter Side. Married for 24 years, she enjoys spending time with her family and says storytelling has become one of her favorite forms of creative expression.
