Tomorrowland has unveiled its latest limited-edition fantasy novel, The Odes of Orbyz, designed to serve as the narrative foundation for the festival’s 2025 theme, Orbyz. This marks the third time Tomorrowland has released an official novel, following The Spirit of Life and The Rise of Adscendo, which corresponded with previous festival themes.
Set in the icy subterranean city of Nymbuz, The Odes of Orbyz follows the story of Tybla, a warrior investigating a string of mysterious disappearances and a catastrophic mine explosion threatening her community. The novel delves into themes of courage and friendship, as Tybla’s encounter with a nomad from the Surface challenges her worldview and shapes the destiny of her realm.
The over 300-page hardback edition features exclusive festival artwork, an illustrated glossary, and two detailed maps of the world of Orbyz. Collector-focused details such as sprayed edges add to its appeal. The book is available in both English and Dutch.
Tomorrowland aims to deepen attendees’ connection to the 2025 theme by releasing the novel ahead of the festival’s scheduled dates—July 18-20 and July 25-27, 2025—in Belgium. Imagery and narrative elements from the book are expected to be woven into the festival’s design, including the Mainstage, to enhance the immersive atmosphere. Additionally, the novel is being marketed as a standalone fantasy story to readers worldwide, expanding the Tomorrowland universe beyond the festival grounds.
